What to do about obstructive bronchitis

The name of the disease is not obstructive bronchitis, but chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It is a common preventable and treatable disease characterized by persistent respiratory symptoms and airflow limitation. Treatment in remission is mainly with bronchodilators, such as beta agonists, short-acting ones like salbutamol, Boliconi, etc., long-acting ones like formoterol, salmeterol, and anticholinergics, mainly with tiotropium bromide, and methylxanthines, mainly with theophyllines. Some patients need inhaled or oral glucocorticosteroids, as well as antibiotics after infection, and long-term home oxygen therapy and non-invasive ventilation, with oxygen therapy, bronchodilators, hormones, antibiotics and combined respiratory support, i.e. mechanical ventilation, during acute attacks.
