The treatment of follicular pharyngitis is mainly etiologic and symptomatic.
Etiological treatment is the main treatment for follicular pharyngitis at present, which mainly includes: active treatment of acute pharyngitis, rhinitis, sinusitis or other diseases that induce follicular pharyngitis; quitting smoking and alcohol, avoiding exposure to dust, harmful gases, spicy and stimulating diet, etc.; enhancing physical exercise and strengthening one’s own physical fitness.
Symptomatic treatment mainly includes the use of laser ablation, electrocoagulation or cryosurgery to deal with lymphatic follicles in the posterior pharyngeal wall, etc.; painful and anti-inflammatory treatment with oral pharyngeal tablets.
