What are the common symptoms associated with excessive amniotic fluid?

Acute amniotic fluid overload: Pregnant women may experience some pressure symptoms due to abdominal pressure, such as abdominal discomfort, difficulty moving, breathlessness, inability to lie down, oedema in the lower limbs or vulva, and varicose veins. At the same time, the high tension in the abdomen can make it difficult to distinguish the fetal position and make the fetal heart inaudible.
Chronic hyperhydramnios: Because of the slow increase in amniotic fluid, clinical manifestations are usually less obvious or show slight pressure symptoms, such as chest tightness and shortness of breath, which most pregnant women can adapt to and tolerate. At the same time, the abdomen can be found to increase faster during labour examination, and when the abdomen of the pregnant woman is touched, the uterus can be felt to be in great tension, the fetal position is not easily distinguishable and the fetal heart cannot be heard.
