Traumatic mouth ulcers that do not heal should be examined promptly and treated conservatively, medically or surgically under the guidance of a doctor.
Traumatic oral ulcers can be caused by a variety of factors, some of which can only be recovered gradually with effective treatment. Some traumatic mouth ulcers are caused by root or crown remnants and need to be repaired or extracted for gradual recovery; some traumatic mouth ulcers are caused by chemical decay and need to be rinsed and rubbed with neutralising solutions for gradual recovery.
If the degree of traumatic mouth ulcers is mild, conservative treatment at home can be considered, including gargling with light salt water, topical application of iodine glycerin, spraying watermelon cream and taking vitamins orally.
