The best time to treat cerebral thrombosis

Cerebral thrombosis is medically known as cerebral infarction, and the time window for treatment is within six hours in the acute phase. Patients with indications for intravenous thrombolysis, the commonly used intravenous thrombolytic drug is alteplase, and the time window for alteplase is within 3-4.5 hours. The indication is intracranial pressure small vessel occlusion, if the large intracranial vessel occlusion, intravenous thrombolysis may not dissolve. If the large vessels are occluded, the embolism can be taken, i.e., anesthesia puncture from the root of the thigh, sent into the skull by the catheter, and the stent of the thrombus sent through the catheter can take out the thrombus and let the blood flow pass again. In addition, if the patient meets the requirements of phase assessment in 6-24 hours, the thrombus can also be removed, and after the blood flow is reperfused after the thrombus is removed, there is a big benefit for the recovery of cerebral infarction. In addition to thrombus retrieval, patients can also use antiplatelet therapy. If thrombolysis takes 24 hours later and there is no hemorrhagic transformation on review of head CT, antiplatelet therapy can be followed. Commonly used treatment options include statins to lower lipids and stabilize plaque, provided that intravenous thrombolysis and embolism retrieval are excluded as contraindications.
