Tetrapod Decoction Pill is effective in activating blood circulation, removing blood stasis, softening and dispersing lumps (softening and dispersing hard lumps). It is used in the treatment of subcostal masses (lumps in the coercive and ribcage areas, hard and immovable).
In this formula, turtle shell softens and disperses lumps, enters the liver channel and searches for evils; manganese nitrate and rhubarb are good at breaking up firmness and dispersing lumps, attacking accumulation and eliminating blood stasis; quomai and shiwei are good at inducing water retention and dispersing dampness; chaihu and baicalin play the role of clearing away heat and dredging up the liver, and ganjiang and guiqiang warm the middle Jiao to promote Yang and regulate stagnation of the qi mechanism.
The adverse effects of this drug are not known. This drug is contraindicated in pregnant women.
