  Points to note after thyroid cancer surgery are as follows: 1. Low iodine diet: do not eat iodized salt; do not eat sea vegetables and seaweed with high iodine content such as kelp, nori and wakame; try not to eat fish, shrimp, crab and shellfish from the sea; you can eat freshwater fish and shrimp; 2. Pay attention to rest, do not stay up late, do proper sports and combine work and rest; do not have stress in life and learn to live a relaxed life; 3. Take levothyroxine sodium tablets for life after surgery Sodium thyroxine tablets: the first 3 months after surgery once a month to review the three A gong, TSH control within the standard, depending on age, the size of the lesion, the presence of metastases, whether high-risk, etc.. After 3 months, the review time can be extended appropriately, according to different situations; 3 months after surgery, a regional ultrasound of the thyroid gland is done to check whether there is a recurrence; thereafter, it can be done once every six months.  4. Some patients need to do iodine 131 treatment. This is determined according to the opinion of the attending physician at the Department of Nuclear Medicine.
