Does chronic osteomyelitis always have sinus tracts?

Chronic osteomyelitis does not always have sinus tracts. Sinus tracts may appear only in the stage of inflammation. In the stage of inactive lesions, there may be no symptoms, or there may be thickening and deformity of the limb, or there may be multiple spots that cause ulcers.
Chronic osteomyelitis is a continuation of acute suppurative osteomyelitis. Generally, chronic osteomyelitis is difficult to cure and is prone to recurrence. Individuals may even have recurrent attacks for more than 10 years and cannot be cured.
Treatment for chronic osteomyelitis includes surgery and antibiotic medication. Patients should go to a regular hospital in time and under the guidance of the doctor for regular treatment.
