What’s wrong with sudden bloody urine and a very painful prostate?

Sudden hematuria with prostate pain may be caused by acute prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urethral calculi, ruptured prostate cancer and bleeding.
1. Acute prostatitis: Acute prostatitis is mostly a bacterial infection, and most of the patients have an acute onset of the disease, which is mainly manifested in acute pain during urination, difficulty in urination, acute urinary retention, urinary frequency, urinary urgency and other symptoms, accompanied by pain in the perineal area, the suprapubic area, or the external genitalia. The prostate tissue is congested and edematous, and the increased permeability of capillaries can cause bleeding and hematuria.
2. Benign prostatic hyperplasia: benign prostatic hyperplasia is mostly chronic in nature, and patients mostly show progressive aggravation of urinary difficulty, frequent urination, and incomplete urination, etc. However, certain factors can cause benign prostatic hyperplasia, which can cause pain in the perineal area, pubic area, or external genitalia. However, certain factors can cause sudden congestion and edema of the prostate tissue, acute dysuria, urinary retention, hematuria and other acute symptoms, such as sedentary, tired, alcohol, constipation.
3. Urethral calculi: Urethral calculi can cause friction damage to the urethral mucosa or prostate when they are discharged with urine, and then a small amount of bleeding will occur, causing pain and hematuria.
4. Rupture and bleeding of prostate cancer: prostate cancer is mostly chronic, with no obvious symptoms in the early stage, and with the increasing size of the tumor, symptoms of lower urinary tract obstruction can appear. However, when the tumor suddenly ruptures and bleeds, it can also cause sudden pain and hematuria, but it is rare in clinic.
It is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible to find out the cause of sudden hematuria with prostate pain and treat it accordingly.
