The full name of PD-1 is Programmed Death Receptor 1, also known as CD279.PD-1 antibody drugs are injections and are used in anti-tumor immunotherapy.
PD-1 is an important immunosuppressive molecule. It regulates the immune system and promotes self-tolerance by down-regulating the immune system’s response to human cells, inhibiting T-cell inflammatory activity, and modulating the immune system. It can prevent autoimmune diseases while preventing the immune system from killing cancer cells.
As an anti-tumor immunotherapy, PD-1 immunotherapy is currently used in the treatment of melanoma, lung cancer, malignant lymphoma, kidney cancer, and stomach cancer. This treatment can inhibit and kill cancer cells. The PD-1 antibody drugs currently used in clinic are Sindilizumab injection, Tirilizumab injection.
PD-1 immunotherapy can also cause some adverse effects, such as skin rashes, autoimmune bowel diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease; thyroid disorders, such as hypothyroidism and occasionally hyperthyroidism; autoimmune hepatitis; and immune-associated pneumonia.
PD-1 inhibitors need to be selected according to one’s condition under the guidance of a physician.
