Can mild tricuspid regurgitation in the heart heal on its own?

Mild tricuspid regurgitation of the heart usually does not heal on its own but does not require medication or surgery when there is no significant discomfort. Tricuspid regurgitation is caused by tricuspid valve insufficiency, which can occur naturally with age in some people, but myocardial disease, left heart insufficiency, and rheumatic heart valve disease may also cause tricuspid valve insufficiency. For mild tricuspid regurgitation, if there are no obvious clinical symptoms, only regular cardiovascular ultrasound review is required, while people with a history of hypertension, diabetes, or coronary artery disease need to take medication under doctor’s orders. For people with mild tricuspid regurgitation, it is advisable to have a light diet, avoid spicy and stimulating, fried foods, and have a low salt, low fat and low sugar diet. If symptoms such as palpitations, chest tightness, weakness and dizziness occur, you need to visit the cardiology department to further identify the cause.
