Choose the wrong pillow, suffering from cervical spondylosis

Ms. Cao, 36, is a housewife. Recently, she came to the hospital because of neck and shoulder pain. After examination, Ms. Cao suffered from cervical spondylosis, the cause of the disease lies in her use of inappropriate pillows. Because Ms. Cao is a housewife, the cause of cervical spondylosis would not be a common problem such as long-term desk work, but should be related to her living habits. After a detailed conversation, I learned that Ms. Cao very much like to sleep on a high pillow, suffering from cervical spondylosis, and her years of sleeping on a high pillow has a lot to do with. More factors that cause and aggravate cervical spondylosis, sleep with a pillow is not appropriate is also an important factor. Sleeping with a pillow too high or too low, will change the normal physiological bending of the cervical spine, easy to make muscle fatigue injury and ligament strain injury, and then produce spasms, neck and shoulder pain, hand numbness, dizziness and other symptoms, and ultimately cause cervical spondylosis. It is recommended that the pillow used during sleep should be just right to maintain the natural state of the cervical spine, to maintain the physiological curve of the neck. Generally pillow height in 10 to 15 cm is appropriate. The pillow shape is low in the middle and high on both sides is the best. Pillow internal filling should be soft and breathable, if you can add the right amount of tea and mint would be better.
