How do I brush my tongue?

For the benefits of tongue brushing, Korean researchers have done a special test where one group of subjects brushed their tongue after brushing their teeth and the other group did not. After comparing the data from the two groups, it was found that those who brushed their tongues had about twice the value of oral odor parameters than those who did not brush their tongues. Food residues that remain on the tongue for a long time are prone to spoilage, which can lead to oral odor. Regular brushing of the tongue can help freshen breath. Although brushing the tongue can reduce oral odor, there is no particular health benefit to frequent brushing. If the tongue is often scraped hard, it can easily irritate the taste buds, damage the tongue papillae, and even lead to numbness on the back of the tongue, loss of taste, loss of appetite, and other adverse consequences. The normal human tongue should be thin white moss, if there is a lesion in the body, the thickness and color of the tongue will change, then, only by brushing the tongue is not working, or should go to the hospital for examination, if you scrape it yourself, it will affect the doctor’s diagnosis. For example, people with thick tongue moss may suffer from digestive and respiratory diseases; yellow or gray tongue moss indicates that there may be heat in the body, so you should take some fire-clearing drugs; people with white watery tongue moss may have cold dampness in the body, so you should take drugs that benefit qi and warm yang; people with dry tongue moss may be caused by food stagnation, so you should take drugs that strengthen the spleen and promote dampness. Finally, we remind you that if you do not have a special “tongue brush”, you can use a softer, more flexible toothbrush. Do not brush the tongue too often, once a week can be. Do not brush your tongue too hard, but brush the back of your tongue gently so as not to produce pain and discomfort. Each time the time should not be too long, from the root of the tongue to the tip of the tongue 7-10 times on the brush can be. In fact, to freshen your breath, the best way is to rinse your mouth with salt water or mouthwash often, or use a flosser to rinse the back of your tongue.
