What are the clinical symptoms of cervical spondylosis?

  The clinical manifestations of cervical spondylosis are very different, and the symptoms of each type are different, which are described as follows.
  (A) Nerve root type cervical spondylosis
  1. Paroxysmal or persistent vague or severe pain in the back of the shoulder or the cervical occipital area.
  2.The irritated or compressed cervical spinal nerve has burning-like or cutting-like pain in the direction of its course, accompanied by pins-and-needles-like or over-electricity-like numbness.
  3.The above symptoms will be aggravated when the neck activity and abdominal pressure are increased.
  4.The movement of the neck is limited or stiffened or stiffened to varying degrees, or the neck shows painful oblique neck deformity.
  5. The upper limbs on the affected side become heavy and weak, and the grip strength is weakened or the object is dropped.
  (B) Spinal cord type cervical spondylosis
  1.Numbness, soreness, burning sensation, stiffness and weakness of the limbs.
  2.Headache, dizziness, change of urination and defecation (such as urination, defecation disorder, weakness of defecation or constipation, etc.).
  3.Severe cases have difficulty moving, unstable walking, and even paralysis.
  (C) Vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis
  1. Whenever the head is taken in an over-extended position or turned to a certain direction, positional vertigo, nausea, etc. will appear, and the person will wake up after the position is changed.
  2. Suddenly fall down, while most of the time the mind is clear.
  (IV) Sympathetic cervical spondylosis
  1.Headache or migraine, head sinking or dizziness, occipital pain.
  2.Rapid or slow heartbeat, or pain in the precordial region.
  3.Cold extremity, decreased local skin temperature, tingling sensation when the extremity is cold, followed by redness, swelling and pain aggravation, also redness, heat, pain or pain allergy at the fingertips.
  4. Accompanied by tinnitus and deafness, etc.
  (E) Mixed type cervical spondylosis
  It refers to those who present two or more types of symptoms.
