What does it mean to test positive for an asymptomatic infected person?

Patients who test positive for asymptomatic infection are mainly those who carry the novel coronavirus but are relatively resistant themselves and do not show symptoms of the novel coronavirus. Although the amount of virus carried by the patient is not too high, it is contagious. Once a positive nucleic acid test asymptomatic infected person is found, he/she needs to be isolated for 14 days. Most people infected with the novel coronavirus will experience morbidity with clinical manifestations of fever, cough, chest tightness, and even difficulty breathing. A small number of patients who are more resistant can experience asymptomatic infection but carry the novel coronavirus in their bodies and have blood drawn to indicate positive antibodies to the coronavirus.
