Usually, laser treatment of acne pits can achieve permanent results, but multiple treatments may be required and there is some individual variation. Acne pits, or acne scarring, can usually be treated with a fractional CO2 laser at 10600 nm and an erbium laser at 2940 nm. These lasers can activate the lateral repair mechanism through their fractional mode, promoting the proliferation and rearrangement of collagen tissue and the formation of cellular matrix, and the local depressed tissues will gradually recover flat through metabolism, thus achieving the purpose of treating acne pits. Laser treatment of acne pits is not a temporary effect, and will not reatrophy the local repaired tissues after stopping the laser treatment later, as long as a certain number of treatments is achieved, the treatment effect can be permanently maintained. However, it should be noted that after the laser treatment, local hydration treatment should be carried out, avoid direct sunlight and do daily protection.
