Tracheoscopy takes a few minutes

  Bronchoscopy usually takes about 15-30 minutes.  Bronchoscopy is a common examination in respiratory medicine. Through bronchoscopy, inflammation, tuberculosis tumor and bleeding sites in the mucosa of the bronchus can be clarified, tissue specimens can be extracted for biopsy to determine the nature of lung occupancy and imaging lesions, and also to remove respiratory secretions, remove foreign bodies bronchoalveolar lavage therapy or injectable drug therapy. Patients undergo local anesthesia before bronchoscopy, and patients may experience discomfort in the trachea during the examination, but when severe coughing and breathing difficulties occur, first aid treatment must be performed to avoid bleeding leading to airway obstruction causing asphyxia.  Tracheoscopy must be performed at the Department of Respiratory Medicine of a regular hospital. Fasting for at least 4 hours before the examination is required to avoid misaspiration during the examination. The patient should not talk during the examination to avoid damage to the vocal cords. Rest for 4-6 hours is also required after the examination.
