Dental implant surgery can be self-observed in case of slight blood seepage; in case of excessive bleeding, re-suturing will be required; in special cases, hemostatic drugs may also be required.
1. General situation: after one-stage dental implant surgery, due to the implant transplantation into the alveolar bone on the human body’s soft tissues as well as bone tissues there is a certain amount of trauma, so the phenomenon of postoperative slight blood seepage is a normal situation, generally do not need special treatment, can be self-observation, and at the same time, pay attention to oral hygiene and care to avoid stimulation.
2. Excessive bleeding: If there is obvious active bleeding in the implant wound after dental implant surgery, it may be caused by insufficient suture or inflammation of the gums, and it is recommended that a timely follow-up is needed to re-examine the wound and then perform additional suture to ensure that the wound is tightly closed. In addition, if there is inflammation in the gums, local rinsing with iodized glycerin solution should be carried out for anti-inflammation.
3. Special circumstances: If some patients have coagulation disorders or are taking aspirin and other vasopressor drugs, it may also lead to bleeding after implant surgery, and need to apply epinephrine and other drugs under the guidance of the doctor to stop bleeding.
