Tinea capitis is a relatively common skin disorder in young children. There are different types of tinea capitis and their clinical manifestations are also different. It usually presents as a purulent folliculitis with redness, swelling and tenderness. 4. Tinea Nigra: Tinea Nigra occurs mainly at the roots of the hair and manifests as red papules. In patients with ringworm, the hair in the affected area is very easy to break, so that the break is in the form of black spots.
