What is a safe and effective procedure for double eyelids?

People with heavy eyelids often use them as one of the criteria for eye beauty, as they have a larger eyelid fissure, and their eyelashes are exposed and upturned, making their eyes appear vivid and agile. The ultimate goal of blepharoplasty is to achieve a natural-looking blepharoplasty result, rather than the previous blepharoplasty result of simply forming double eyelids. Currently, more and more patients are demanding not only eyelids, but also beautiful, natural-looking eyelids, preferably similar to natural eyelids, i.e., natural-looking eyelids when the eyes are open and virtually unmarked when the eyes are closed, achieving a dynamic eyelid effect. There are approximately 3 types of eyelid surgery methods that are most prevalent today: the buried liner method, the small incision method, and the incision method. The buried eyelid method is the closest to the dynamic eyelid, but it is less long lasting and requires a high degree of upper eyelid distention, and is not suitable for people with bloated upper eyelids and loose skin. Smaller incisions have better durability, but they also require a certain amount of skin laxity and are not suitable for people with bloated upper lids. The incisional blepharoplasty is suitable for all patients with single lids and the results are constant. Our department has improved techniques that allow for dynamic blepharoplasty as well, making it a more desirable procedure. Individualized design of the blepharoplasty line: Studies have shown that the Chinese have a blepharoplasty width of 6 to 8 mm, with the majority being open fan-shaped. A 6 to 7 mm wide eyelid line can be adjusted with sutures and peels to achieve a width of 6.5 to 8 mm, which meets the aesthetic needs of most people. Some of the conditions that require a narrower than normal eyelid line design are: those with close eyebrow-eye distance, thicker skin, smaller eyeball protrusion and narrower lid dysplasia. If the eyebrows and eyes are close together and the skin is thick, the eyelid line will be too wide and the tissues on the eyelid line will look swollen due to overlap when the eyes are open; if the eyeballs are small and the lid is hypoplastic, the upper lid will have a small arc when the eyes are open and the tissues under the eyelid line will look droopy. A lid line that takes into account all of these conditions is more natural after surgery.
