There are many causes of pus flowing from the glans and should be treated under the guidance of a physician after a clear diagnosis. When caused by gonorrhoea or non-gonococcal urethritis, antibiotic treatment is the mainstay. In the case of squamous cell carcinoma, treatment is mainly surgical. In the case of erythema multiforme, treatment is photodynamic therapy, local surgical excision and topical treatment with liquid nitrogen freezing. In the case of glans vulgaris, treatment is mainly local and etiological. In the case of circumcision and phimosis, treatment is based on manual therapy and surgery.
