Duodenitis caused by H. pylori requires H. pylori eradication treatment. Commonly used antibiotic drugs include amoxicillin, metronidazole/tennidazole, furazolidone, tetracycline and clarithromycin. Two or more antibiotics are usually combined with antacids to form triple and quadruple therapy. PPI drugs such as omeprazole and pantoprazole are often chosen as acid suppressants. Patients can apply bismuth medication in combination to protect the gastric mucosa.
