Diagnosis and treatment of acute sinusitis

  Etiology.
  1, nasal-derived infection (expansion of nasal infection)
  Acute rhinitis: one of the common causes of sinusitis, especially acute sinusitis.

  (3) pollutants through the nasal cavity into the sinuses: such as swimming, diving, diving improper methods, so that the sewage into the sinuses and inflammation.
  (2) Proximity to tissue-derived infections: such as facial dermatitis, facial bone osteomyelitis, dental disease.
  3, blood-borne infection: acute infectious diseases such as influenza, pneumonia, measles.
  4, trauma-derived infections.
  (1) trauma: maxillary and frontal sinus trauma is common, such as fracture, foreign body, blood clot, infection, etc. cause acute lesions of the sinuses.
  (2) air pressure injury: sinusitis caused by sudden changes in air pressure, more often seen in the frontal sinus and maxillary sinus.
  5. Other
  (1) systemic factors: such as excessive physical fatigue, cold, moisture, malnutrition and other resistance decline.
  (2) poisoning: toxic sinusitis can occur when iodine poisoning.
  Clinical manifestations.
  1, systemic symptoms: chills, fever, loss of appetite, constipation and other symptoms of toxin poisoning, children may be accompanied by vomiting, diarrhea, cough, etc.
  2, local symptoms: ① nasal obstruction ② more pus ③ headache
  Diagnosis.
  1.Local redness, swelling and pressure pain.
  2.Nasal cavity examination with acute congestion and swelling, with large amount of purulent discharge.
  3.Unilateral nasal discharge is foul-smelling, and rhinogenic maxillary sinusitis should be considered.
  4. Imaging of the sinuses.
