Can bumps on the eyelids affect my eyesight?

Small bumps that do not cause pressure on the eye do not usually affect vision, but if the lesion increases in size and presses on the eye or obscures the pupil it can affect vision. Bumps on the eyelids are most commonly caused by blepharitis and lid cysts. Long-term lesions of the lid gland may promote inflammation of the ocular surface, affecting the conjunctiva and cornea and causing loss of vision.
