How is an arachnoid cyst operated on?

There are three main types of surgery for arachnoid cysts: cyst-to-abdominal shunt (more than 40 years of history) 1.1 advantages: less trauma and faster recovery; 1.2 disadvantages: lifelong tube; more expensive; not less possibility of line infection and blockage. Open microsurgery (more than 30 years of history) 2.1 advantages: thorough stripping of the cyst wall, low recurrence rate; 2.2 disadvantages: more traumatic surgery, slightly more postoperative complications. Minimally invasive endoscopic surgery (the latest technology) 3.1 Advantages: less trauma and quicker recovery; 3.2 limited cyst wall peeling and some risk of recurrence because it is minimally invasive. I have experience with over 100 cases of minimally invasive endoscopic surgery for arachnoid cysts during my work in Israel, with good overall results and very low complications.
