Indications for dental implants

Artificial dental implants are considered internationally as the preferred means of restoration for missing teeth, and they can be used for a variety of different missing teeth situations, but not every patient with missing teeth can have dental implants, and it has a certain range of adaptation. ( 2 ) Patients who are missing more than one tooth or all of their teeth and have difficulty in using traditional dentures, which do not function well and cannot be worn firmly. By making several artificial implant roots to hold the dentures in place, the dentures will be very strong. ( 3 ) Patients who have special requirements for the beauty and function of dentures. ( 4 ) Patients who have problems with the remaining teeth around the missing teeth and cannot make traditional dentures. Also patients must meet: ( 1 ) preferably over 18 years old. ( 2 ) There is sufficient bone (including height and width) in the alveoli of the missing tooth site in the oral cavity. ( 3 ) No severe periodontitis, periodontal disease and other serious oral disorders. ( 4 ) The gap between the upper and lower teeth should not be less than 0.5 cm when occluding. ( 5 ) No diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, coagulation disorders, mental disorders, severe osteoporosis, infectious and bone metabolic diseases, etc. Cancer patients who are receiving radiation treatment to the bone and neck are also not suitable for this procedure. Since not all people with missing teeth are suitable for dental implants, it is important to make a detailed examination before having dental implants.
