What is the cure rate for early stage gum cancer

The early cure rate of gingival cancer is not supported by exact and large data on clinical information. However, some studies in China believe that the 5-year survival rate of gingival cancer is high, which is about 62.5%.

1. Gum cancer is a common type of oral cancer, lower gum cancer is more common than upper gum cancer, and male is more common than female. Clinical manifestations of gingival cancer are bleeding gums, loose teeth, early invasion of alveolar bone, causing resorption of alveolar bone, loose teeth, X-ray film shows worm-eaten irregular resorption changes, and metastasis is mainly localized lymph node metastasis, and lymph node metastasis of mandibular gingival cancer is higher than that of maxillary gingival cancer.

2. The treatment of gingival cancer is mainly based on surgery, with local tumor resection and alveolar protrusion (bone) resection, and cervical lymphadenectomy for those with lymph node metastasis.

3. The prognosis of gingival cancer is good, 5-year survival rate is about 62.5%, 5-year survival rate of mandibular gingival cancer is about 65%, 5-year survival rate of X-ray compression and absorption type is 87.4%, and infiltration and destruction type is 50.4%.

Suffering from gingival cancer, one should consult the doctor as early as possible and carry out standardized treatment under the guidance of professional physicians, with a view to achieving good curative effect.
