What is the relationship between the phlegm-dampness stasis syndrome and gum cancer in Chinese medicine?

Gum cancer belongs to the category of cancer in Chinese medicine, and the phlegm-dampness-stagnation syndrome of Chinese medicine can appear in cancer as well as other diseases, while there are other types of cancer besides the phlegm-dampness-stagnation syndrome. 1. Phlegm-dampness stagnation syndrome: it is a syndrome combining three pathological products, namely, phlegm-drink (pathological product formed by water-liquid metabolism disorder), water-dampness and silt-blood, and cancer can be seen if the pathological products are intertwined with the gums. Symptoms include localized tingling and severe pain, or hard nodules, accompanied by abdominal distension and chest tightness, dark tongue with purple spots, and so on. Besides, phlegm-dampness stagnation syndrome can also appear in other diseases, such as stroke, headache, dropsy (refers to a kind of disease in which the abdomen is as big as a drum) and so on. 2. Cancer: The pattern of cancer may include phlegm-dampness stasis syndrome, heat-toxicity blazing (the fire in the body is too exuberant), qi and yin deficiency (both qi and yin are deficient), such as tiredness, dryness of the mouth, dryness of the throat, etc. It is necessary to combine the symptoms with the systemic symptoms to define the pattern of the cancer under the guidance of the doctor. Therefore, phlegm-dampness stasis can be seen in cancer, while phlegm-dampness stasis syndrome can be seen in cancer as well as other diseases. In case of gum cancer, it is recommended to go to hospital and standardize the treatment.
