Your fibroids can potentially be treated by hysteroscopy

Many patients with fibroids especially want to preserve their uterus and are eager to know if their fibroids can be done through a non-invasive surgery —– hysteroscopy. I always make the analogy that the uterus is like a house, if it is a fibroid inside the “house”, it can be done through hysteroscopic surgery, the fibroid outside the “house” may be done through laparoscopic surgery, and the fibroid inside the “wall” usually requires open surgery. The fibroids inside the “wall” usually require an operation to remove them. If the fibroids inside the “wall” protrude a bit into the “house”, there is a chance that this can be done through hysteroscopic surgery. Hysteroscopic myomectomy is especially important for women who have not had children because there is no incision in the uterus and minimal damage to the uterus. If the fibroids are removed openly or laparoscopically, it takes time for the uterine scar to heal, and contraception is usually recommended for about 1 year after surgery, whereas you can try to conceive 3 to 6 months after hysteroscopic surgery. Ten days ago, a patient from Inner Mongolia had a fibroid on the left side of the uterus, with a diameter of about 5cm and a fibroid protruding about 5%-10% into the uterine cavity, and after a preliminary examination, she made an appointment for hysteroscopic surgery. had to come to Beijing at her own expense to be hospitalized, and the surgery was successful, the fibroid was completely removed through hysteroscopy; when the patient heard that the fibroid had been completely removed, she said excitedly, “Dr. Huang, I want to hug you, can I?” Believe me, it is possible for your fibroids to be treated by hysteroscopic surgery!
