Local recurrence of bowel cancer after surgery refers to tumor growth at the original lesion site or the lymphatic region to which it belongs within two years after surgery. The reasons are: 1. the tumor is late and cannot be removed cleanly; 2. the tumor is not late but failed to be removed cleanly. At present, the first choice of treatment for intestinal cancer at home and abroad is still surgery. All other treatment methods are adjuvant. It is well known that this is not the ideal treatment, because surgery itself is a kind of trauma to human body. The most ideal method should be to prevent the occurrence of tumor or to cure it with medication after it occurs. However, the current scientific level has not yet reached this level, otherwise there would be no need for surgical treatment. Since surgery is the most effective treatment method at present, its thoroughness is crucial. Because once recurrence occurs after surgery, then the possibility of re-cure is almost zero. Therefore the healing of recurrent cancer and advanced cancer is almost the same. The average survival is two to three years. Therefore the first surgery is crucial. It can be said to be a life-long decision. If the tumor is late, it is a pity that it cannot be solved at all with the current state of technological development. However, it is tragic if the disease is not late and can be completely cured, but recurrence is caused by incomplete surgery. In order to avoid this situation as much as possible, patients are recommended to go to provincial or above specialized hospitals for professional treatment, because there is a world of difference between surgical oncology and general surgery. The surgery of general surgery is only the principle of simple lesion removal and aseptic surgery operation. In contrast, oncologic surgery is coupled with anaplasty and enlarged excision of the lesion and its regional lymph node expansion and clearance. For example, incisional implantation is the result of improper operation of anaplasty. Another example is that regional lymph node metastasis is the result of inappropriate expansion and clearance. As for the reason of distant organ metastasis after surgery but no local recurrence, science cannot explain it yet.
