What tests should be done for a large and hard liver caused by cirrhosis?

  A large and hard liver is a common symptom in medical clinics, and it is caused by a variety of diseases, commonly cirrhosis of the liver. Patients with cirrhosis will experience fatigue and loss of appetite, and will also cause various diseases. Therefore, we need early examination and timely treatment.  The tests for cirrhosis causing large and hard liver are: 1. Routine blood tests In hypersplenism, the whole blood cells are reduced. White blood cells are reduced, often below 4.0×109/L (4000). Platelets are mostly below 50×109/L (50,000). Most cases show normocytic anemia, and a few cases may be macrocytic anemia.  2.Urinary routine examination Urinary bilirubin/urinary bilirubin is positive when there is jaundice.  3.Routine examination of ascites Ascites is leaky fluid with density below 1.018, negative Lee’s reaction, cell count below 100/mm3 and protein quantification less than 25g/L. 4.Liver function test Liver function is complex. There are many clinical tests, but it is still difficult to reflect the full functional status. Various laboratory results need to be combined with clinical manifestations and other tests for comprehensive analysis.
