The effect of Chinese medicine for kidney disease is really slow?

Patients often ask: “How long will it take to cure my disease? Is Chinese medicine cure very slow?” First of all, let’s look at 2 recent cases of Chinese medicine curing nephritis patients? Case 1 Patient, male, 39 years old, first seen on June 24, 2014. Physical examination revealed proteinuria and hypertension for 1 month, urine protein +++, 24-hour urine protein quantification 1.24g, mildly elevated blood creatinine, blood creatinine 107umol/l, accompanied by high triglyceride and high blood uric acid. The patient had a robust form, a red face, a red and reddish tongue, a thin yellow coating, and a stringent pulse. He was diagnosed with chronic nephritis, renal hypertension, chronic kidney disease stage 3, hyperlipidemia, and hyperuricemia. The TCM diagnosis was damp-heat and blood stasis. The prescription was to dispel dampness, invigorate blood, etc. Second consultation July 15, 2014 The above prescription was taken for 2 weeks, and the urine protein + was rechecked, and the blood creatinine was 93 umol/l. Third consultation July 29, 2014 Urine protein +, and the above prescription was continued. Fourth consultation August 12, 2014 The above prescription was taken for another 2 weeks, and the urine protein (-) was checked. Blood pressure was also in normal range and the patient was unwell. The above prescription was finely adjusted and continued to be taken. Case 2 Initial consultation date July 3, 2014 Patient female, 32 years old, proteinuria and hematuria were found on physical examination 3 months ago. On arrival, she was examined for urine protein+, urine red blood cells 60-70/HPF, dark urine, lumbar pain during menstruation, dry stools, restless sleep, excessive dreaming, red tongue, and sunken pulse. Prescription: clear damp-heat, nourish heart yin. 2 weeks later, urine protein was negative, red blood cells 15-20/HPF, 2 weeks later, urine test was normal. In the above 2 cases, it only took 3-4 weeks for the urine test indicators to return to normal. The so-called kidney diseases in Western medicine, such as edema, chronic nephritis, proteinuria, hypertension, chronic renal insufficiency, etc., are considered to be related to many other organs, such as lung, spleen, liver, heart, bladder, small intestine, etc. Within the theory of TCM, these diseases are not only related to the kidney in TCM, but also related to many other organs, such as lung, spleen, liver, heart, bladder, small intestine, etc. TCM identifies the evidence into eight levels, namely, yin and yang, surface and interior, cold and heat, and deficiency, among which the deficiency is firstly distinguished. Because of the deficiency is to make up for, the real is diarrhea. The deficiency is divided into heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys, while the actual evidence is divided into external and internal evil, external evil has the six lewdness, internal evil has the seven emotions, the five internal evil, etc. Chinese medicine is a complex process to identify the evidence, but as long as the right symptoms and precise medication, the effect will be fast, and not the usual slow effect of Chinese medicine treatment.
