Is triglyceride 2.63 high?

Blood lipids include four indicators, namely total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglycerides. The normal reference range for triglycerides (TG) is 0.45-1.69 mmol/L. The normal level of triglycerides is below 1.69 mmol/L, and the critical range is 1.69-2.25 mmol/L. Above 2.26 mmol/L is called hypertriglyceridemia. Therefore, triglycerides of 2.63 mmol/L are at a high level. For patients with hypertriglyceridemia caused by clear causes, such as alcoholism, obesity, diabetes, drugs, hypothyroidism, hyperadrenocorticism, etc., treatment should first be directed at the cause; those without clear causes should be intervened through lifestyle improvement and/or pharmacological treatment according to the specific situation. Their treatment includes lifestyle dietary interventions and pharmacological treatment, depending mainly on the degree of triglyceride elevation and risk assessment of the patient. Therapeutic lifestyle improvement should be the basis for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia, mainly including the following: 1. weight control: achieve BMI normalization or reduce body weight by at least 10% within 1 year; 2. rational diet: control total dietary calories, limit carbohydrate and fat intake, increase vegetable and high quality protein intake, fat intake should be mainly unsaturated fat, saturated fat calories should be <7 3, limit alcohol consumption: control daily alcohol intake to 30g (men) and 20g (women) or less; 4, moderate exercise: daily at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic exercise, at least 5 times a week, including brisk walking, cycling, stair climbing and other simple and easy to do exercise.
