What to do if you have a lump inside your eyelid

There are many different types of bumps. If you find a bump on your eyelid, first of all, do not panic, but arrive at the hospital first after a thorough examination and treatment advice from your doctor. The more common clinical eyelid bumps are wheals or chalazion infections, with redness, swelling and pain, which can be treated with local antibiotic eye drops and local hot compresses. Eyelid bumps may also be corn rash or fatty grains, which are small white raised particles without pain and generally do not require treatment for secretion obstruction, but can be removed at the hospital if they affect the aesthetics. Bumps on the eyelids can also be a protrusion caused by human papillomavirus infection, which can be treated with local laser or surgery. Middle-aged and elderly patients with eyelid bumps and contact bleeding when washing their faces or inadvertently need to pay extra attention and should have pathological biopsy after timely excision to avoid missing the diagnosis of cancerous masses and delaying the best treatment period. Eyelid bumps are problem-specific and require timely medical attention to avoid misjudgment and delayed treatment.
