Laser eye surgery is generally referred to as myopic laser surgery. It is the excimer laser or femtosecond laser, full femtosecond laser myopia surgery that cuts a portion of the cornea, artificially changing the refractive power of the cornea to correct vision. There are many different types of myopic laser surgery, so the price varies between $5,000 and $25,000. Femtosecond laser surgery is still generally considered at this time. Full femtosecond, for example, requires about $25,000 for both eyes; half femtosecond, about $15,000, while excimer laser may be anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000. Nearsighted patients, who do not want to wear frames, may consider the option of myopic laser surgery. Patients must first be 18 years old and have relatively stable myopia over the past two years. Then they must go to a hospital outpatient clinic for a series of examinations, which usually involve checking the basic shape of the cornea, refractive status, central corneal thickness, etc., in order to decide which type of surgery to use. At present, relatively fast recovery and fewer complications is full femtosecond surgery, but full femtosecond surgery also has certain limitations, for low myopia is not the preferred treatment, and if you need personalized cutting, or secondary refractive surgery patients are not suitable for this type of surgery.
