Bronchitis is not pharyngitis

Bronchitis is an infectious disease of the lower respiratory tract, while pharyngitis is an infectious disease of the upper respiratory tract, and the two should not be confused. Bronchitis mainly manifests as cough, coughing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and even accompanied by fever. Laryngitis mainly manifests as upper respiratory tract infections such as itchy throat, cough, nasal congestion, and runny nose. Both belong to the same respiratory tract, but depending on the different manifestations of upper and lower respiratory tract diseases, treatment needs to be divided into anti-allergic cough relief and antibiotic anti-infective cough relief. In case of allergic cough, including allergic rhinitis and allergic pharyngitis, antibiotic treatment is not needed. Clinical administration of montelukast sodium, epalrestine, loratadine and other drugs for anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and cough suppression is sufficient, and glucocorticoid nebulization treatment can also be given if necessary. Cough caused by lower respiratory tract infection is mostly bacterial infection and can be treated with antibiotics. If there is a combination of allergic cough, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic drugs, including glucocorticoids, montelukast sodium and epalrestin, can be added to effectively relieve cough caused by lower respiratory tract infection.
