What causes bladder pain

  Bladder pain is a symptom that can be caused by a variety of etiologies. It may be bladder stones, cystitis, tumors of the bladder, and to exclude such diseases to be considered as caused by bladder pain syndrome.  1, stones in the bladder, stones irritate the bladder mucosa, the mucosa is irritated causing pain, if the stones happen to block the bladder neck, it can cause interruption of urination. This can be diagnosed by urinary routine and bladder ultrasound.  2. Inflammation of the bladder, bladder infection causes pain due to direct irritation of the bladder mucosa, and elevated white blood cells can be found through routine urinalysis, in addition to possible symptoms of urethral irritation and generalized fever and malaise.  Most patients will have painless hematuria in the bladder mucosa, which can be clearly diagnosed by CT scan of the pelvis and cystoscopy.  4. If no abnormalities are found through the examination or if the pain is not relieved by antibacterial drugs, it is considered to be bladder pain syndrome.  So there are many causes of pain in the bladder and a clear diagnosis is needed through systematic examination. If the bladder pain lasts for a long time, it is recommended to go to the urology department of the hospital for careful examination and diagnosis and active treatment.
