Is prostatitis well treated?

Prostatitis can be cured with good habits and standardized medication, but it can recur if you don’t pay attention. Therefore whether it is good treatment depends on whether the patients themselves can maintain good habits and regulate the use of medication. It can be divided into methods such as medication and physiotherapy. 1, antibiotic treatment Bacterial prostatitis includes acute bacterial prostatitis (type I) and chronic bacterial prostatitis (type II). The most commonly used antibiotics are quinolones, such as levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin and lomefloxacin. The course of treatment should be at least 4-6 weeks. Evaluate the efficacy after 2 weeks of medication and if the efficacy is not satisfactory, change to other sensitive antibiotics. Chronic non-bacterial prostatitis (chronic prostatitis)/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (type III) with negative bacterial culture results and antibacterial drug therapy is mostly empirical. Oral quinolones are given for 2-4 weeks, and then the decision to continue antimicrobial drug therapy is made based on efficacy feedback. 2. Alpha-blockers Alpha-blockers can improve lower urinary tract symptoms and pain by relaxing smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder, etc. The recommended
Alpha-blockers mainly include: doxazosin, napalcidil, tamsulosin and terazosin, etc. The main purpose of NSAIDs is to relieve pain and discomfort, and controlled clinical studies have shown that celecoxib is effective in improving pain and other symptoms in patients with chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome. 4. Physiotherapy The heat effect produced by various physical means increases blood circulation to the prostate tissue, accelerates metabolism, helps to reduce inflammation and edema, and relieves pelvic floor muscle spasm. The actual pelvic floor muscle spasm is relieved. There are transurethral, transrectal and perineal routes.
The use of microwaves, radiofrequency, laser, etc., can be applied via the urethral, transrectal and perineal routes. However, it should be used with caution in unmarried and infertile people. The treatment of prostatitis is a comprehensive process and rarely can be solved in one way. In addition to the above treatment methods also need to maintain good habits.
