Bone spurs themselves are caused by degeneration of the joints, commonly known as bone spurs are the bones that grow out of the bones. It is unrealistic to think that the bone spur will “wear off” through a lot of exercise or massage, as this will cause pain due to joint strain, friction, and stimulation of the spur. If the bone spur is large or has dislodged and caused joint fragmentation, arthroscopic debridement surgery may be performed depending on the situation, but it may recur. There is no clear drug that can reduce or remove bone spurs, so it is not feasible or scientific to “grind” them away through exercise or to take drugs to eliminate them.
