How to treat aneurysmal dermatofibrosarcoma

Rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare, low-grade malignant sarcoma of fibroblastic origin that is a subtype of sarcoma. It begins as a hard, skin-colored or dark-red plaque on the trunk and extremities, but later forms a sarcoma that grows rapidly and ulcerates on the surface. If not treated promptly and effectively, aneurysmal melanoma can be complicated by anaplastic malignant melanoma. Three treatment methods are generally used for aneurysmal dermatofibrosarcoma: drug therapy, surgery and radiation therapy. Drug therapy is mainly performed with the targeted drug Imatinib, which is mainly taken orally. Surgical treatment involves the surgical removal of the tumor, mainly by microsurgery, modified surgery, and traditional surgery. This type of treatment is used when the patient has a first attack or a second recurrence. Radiation therapy as one of the postoperative adjuvant treatments should be extended to the outer 3-5 cm of the tumor margin five times a week, with the dose depending on the patient’s lesion. Adopting good living and eating habits and maintaining a good state of mind are the most effective ways to prevent augmentation dermatofibrosarcoma. In addition, more protein-rich foods such as milk, eggs, fish and soy products should be consumed to improve the body’s ability to fight cancer.
