What to do if other teeth are loose after tooth extraction

If other teeth become loose after extraction, a full-mouth surface tomogram needs to be taken and treated according to the specific situation. If the loose tooth becomes dislocated, the tooth can be reset and ligated and fixed to a stable neighboring tooth under local anesthesia, and the arch splint will be removed after the tooth is stable for 1-3 months. If the x-ray shows that fracture of the alveolar bone occurs in the extraction socket causing trauma to the adjacent tooth, it is necessary to remove the smaller fracture fragment or fill the bone powder under anesthesia to promote bone healing at the socket. If the root of the adjacent tooth is fractured and cannot be retained, the adjacent tooth should be extracted and an implant restoration should be performed. In case of loosening of multiple teeth, oral antibiotics such as metronidazole and cephalosporins are required to reduce the looseness of the teeth significantly after anti-inflammation.
