What are the causes of cold sweats in babies?

The infant’s thermoregulatory centre and sweat glands are not yet fully developed, and the infant’s thin subcutaneous fat and large surface area relative to the body surface make it easy for the infant to dissipate heat.
However, some infants may also experience cold sweats due to a deficiency of calcium or iron or due to diseases such as tuberculosis, and it is advisable to seek medical attention as soon as possible if the sweating is heavy and prolonged, along with other symptoms.
