1.What is a side breast? Some women often wear underwear, the armpit area will bulge up a circle of meat, wearing sleeveless clothes very affect the beauty, many times we think that because they are too fat, so the armpit part will be fleshy. In fact, this is not just because of fat, but because this extra piece of meat is actually a woman’s parametrium. So what is a paramour? Simply put, a paramour is an extra breast. Humans generally have only one pair of mammary glands, but a few people can have extra mammary glands, which we refer to collectively as the parammary glands. In the 6th week of embryonic life, a line from the armpit to the groin is raised on both sides of the body, called the mammary line, which is the starting point of breast development. If they do not disappear or even continue to develop, they become redundant breasts or nipples, which are called parametrium (multiple breasts or nipples). Parametrium is not exclusive to women, but can also be seen in men. They often run in families and are common in Asians, with about 1 to 5 out of 100 people having them. Most parastomal breasts are only one pair, but there may be a single pair or more than one pair. They are often found in the armpit or forehead, forming a localized bulge like a lump, with a nipple-like protrusion in the central part or just a hyperpigmentation like an areola. If the parametrium has nipples and glands, we call it complete parametrium; if there are only nipples and no glands, or if there is only symmetrical skin pigmentation on both sides and no nipples, it is called incomplete parametrium. The complete parametrium is commonly found in the armpit and is larger, and like the mammary gland it is affected by endocrine hormones and can change periodically with menstrual flow, increasing in size during menstruation, pregnancy and lactation, and some patients may experience pain. Incomplete parametrium can occur in the chest or other parts of the body, and is smaller in size, usually with only parametrial nipples, and is less affected by endocrine hormones. 2. Can breast disease occur in the parametrium? It is affected by various hormones in the body, such as estrogen, progesterone, and prolactin, etc. Therefore, it can also appear swollen and painful before the menstrual period, increase significantly when pregnant, and have lactation during breastfeeding. Parammary glands not only show cyclical changes under the influence of endocrine, but also have diseases that may occur in normal breast tissue, such as fibroadenoma, cysts, etc. Even a small number of parammary glands can have breast cancer, which is called parammary cancer, but its incidence is low, only one in a thousand people will have cancer. 3.Do I need to deal with parametrial breast? There is no need to be alarmed by the presence of parametrial breast, it usually has no effect on human body and does not need treatment if there are no symptoms. If you have an incomplete parametrium, you will usually feel nothing and rarely experience any lesions; if you have a complete parametrium, you should pay attention to the changes in the parametrium. If you find that your parametrium is significantly larger, with increased pain and swelling, or if there is a lump suspected to be a tumor, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible and consider surgery to remove it. In addition, if the parametrium is too large and you feel obvious discomfort, eczema appears in the skin folds of the armpit, or the appearance is unpleasant and affects the aesthetics, you can also consider surgery to remove it.
