Cervical spondylosis, also known as cervical spine syndrome, is a collective term for a series of symptoms such as neck and shoulder discomfort, pain and even headache, dizziness, chest tightness, nausea, palpitation, numbness and pain in the upper limbs, weakness in the lower limbs and unsteadiness in walking caused by degeneration or strain of the cervical spine, cervical discs, neck muscles and ligaments. Because of the large number of tissues in the neck, the symptoms caused are also complex. Previously, it was thought that it was mostly seen in middle-aged and elderly people. However, with the change of people’s lifestyle, the incidence of the disease among young people is increasing year by year. The key reason is the prolonged fixed posture of the neck such as lowers or heads up, such as prolonged ambulation, use of computers, cell phones or prolonged manual work. Young people are also prone to cervical spondylosis if they drive for a long time, ride in a car or fly for a lot of time.
