Symptoms of bronchiectasis

  Bronchiectasis is a chronic disease that occurs at any age and is usually caused by lung infections, such as tuberculosis, whooping cough, and problems with the immune system. The common symptoms are: 1. chronic cough: cough is the typical clinical manifestation, the early symptoms are mild, as the disease develops cough aggravated, accompanied by a large amount of sputum, sputum is mostly yellow-green, accompanied by foul odor.  2. Fever: If a patient has fever, it is usually a symptom of systemic toxicity caused by repeated infections in the body. Patients with pneumonia and lung abscess usually have fever.  3. Hemoptysis: usually caused by rupture of tracheal artery, the amount of hemoptysis is related to the severity of the disease, and the main clinical manifestation of patients with dry bronchiectasis is repeated hemoptysis.  4. Other symptoms: Some patients may also experience loss of appetite, emaciation, malnutrition, slow growth and development, and a few patients may develop secondary amyloidosis.  Patients with bronchiectasis may develop chronic cough, fever, hemoptysis and some clinical symptoms. When these symptoms appear, it is recommended to seek medical treatment according to the severity of the disease.
