Bronchitis fever usually lasts for a few days

Patients with bronchitis who develop fever can usually have their body temperature reduced to normal in 3-5 days after effective treatment. Bronchitis is an inflammatory disease of the airways caused by the body’s exposure to external pathogenic microorganisms and physical and chemical factors. If the systemic symptoms are mild, there is usually no fever. If fever appears, the temperature is usually low, around 38°C. After active antibacterial and anti-inflammatory treatment, the body temperature can be reduced to normal in 3-5 days, but the symptoms of cough and sputum can last for 2-3 weeks. In elderly patients, the duration of fever is prolonged due to the weakened resistance of the organism, and the possibility of combined pulmonary infections should be alerted at this time. Patients with bronchitis should be treated promptly after the onset of the disease, drink more water when fever occurs, choose a diet that is easy to digest and nutritious, avoid overexertion, prohibit smoking and alcohol, pay attention to keeping warm, and pay attention to opening windows and ventilation to keep the indoor air fresh.
