Can dry eye cause blurred vision?

Dry eye can cause blurred vision, but usually occurs in the middle and later stages of dry eye. The early stage of dry eye is mainly dryness and foreign body sensation, which usually progresses to the middle or late stage if not taken seriously or not intervened. In the middle stage, the eyes may become too dry, resulting in punctate damage to the corneal epithelium, followed by pain and blurred vision. At this point it is usually necessary to use eye drops that moisturize the eye with artificial tears, such as sodium vitreous oxide or polyvinyl alcohol drops. Usually the damage to the corneal epithelium can be healed, and if the intervention is complete, it can be fully recovered in 1-2 days and the blurred vision can be gradually improved.
