Can eye patches really cure myopia?

Eye patches cannot treat myopia, because myopia is mostly caused by the elongation of the eye axis or the change of corneal curvature, which leads to the inability of the incident light to focus accurately on the retina, and thus cannot form a clear image, all due to changes in the shape of the eye. Eye patches only work around the eye and do not have any effective effect on changing the shape of the eye itself. Therefore, the only real way to treat myopia and restore normal vision is through surgery, but surgery is only feasible for adults over the age of 18 and before the age of 45.
