Precautions for patients with lower extremity deep vein thrombosis

1, non-surgical treatment of patients in the acute stage of absolute bed rest for 10-14 days, the affected limb pad soft pillow elevation, 20-30 cm above the level of the heart, avoid pillows under the knee, pay attention to warmth. 2. Avoid excessive movements when moving in bed, prohibit massage of the affected limb and intravenous infusion therapy to prevent thrombosis from dislodging and causing pulmonary embolism. 3. Pay attention to the temperature, pulse and skin changes of the affected limb, measure and record the circumference of the affected limb in different planes every day, and compare it with the previous records and the circumference of the healthy side to judge the treatment effect. 4.During anticoagulation or thrombolysis, check PT+INR and FIB daily and on time, check for bleeding tendency and avoid trauma. 5.When using anticoagulation, expectorant or thrombolytic drugs via vein, it is better to choose the vein distal to the affected limb. During the period, attention should be paid to the presence of allergic symptoms such as chest pain, lumbago and breath-holding, etc., which should be reported to the physician in charge immediately after they appear. 6. Be highly alert to the possibility of pulmonary artery embolism. If abnormalities such as chest pain, difficulty in whistling and drop in blood pressure occur, the patient should immediately lie down, avoid doing deep whistling, coughing and strenuous turning, while giving high concentration of oxygen inhalation, immediately report to the physician and actively cooperate with resuscitation. 7, convince the patient to quit smoking to avoid nicotine stimulation caused by venous constriction. 8.Eat a low-fat and fiber-rich diet and keep the bowels open to reduce the increase in abdominal pressure due to forceful defecation, which affects the venous return of the lower limbs. 9.After getting out of bed, the patient should be instructed to use elastic bandage or wear elastic stocking correctly to avoid the local ischemia or the aggravation of limb edema due to the tight elastic bandage wrapping. 10.Patients who need surgery should do the preoperative preparation as soon as possible according to the medical advice. Health guidance: 1. Avoid prolonged bed rest after recovery. 2.If you need to continue to take anticoagulant drugs, you should follow the doctor’s orders and review PT+INR regularly. pay attention to the tendency of bleeding. 3. Encourage the patient to wear medical elastic stockings to gradually increase the walking distance and the activity of the lower limb muscles.
