Metastatic routes of pancreatic cancer

Cardia cancer is one of the types of gastric cancer, it refers to the cancer that occurs at the entrance of the stomach. There are four metastatic pathways of cardia cancer. First, direct spread, after the cancer grows and invades into the stomach wall, it can spread directly to the large omentum, liver, pancreas, transverse colon, jejunum and other parts. Lymphatic metastasis, which is an important way for pancreatic cancer to spread and metastasize, usually occurs earlier. As the cancer grows, the deeper the invasion of the stomach wall, the more chances of metastasis, which can be near to the lymph nodes on the stomach wall or distant to the left supraclavicular lymph node. Cardia cancer can metastasize to liver, lung, bones, skull and brain, skin and other parts through bloodstream metastasis. Intra-abdominal implantation metastasis, cardia cancer can reach the rectum, bladder, ovaries and other parts through intra-abdominal implantation metastasis.
